As I anticipate the excitement of the coming Spring, which for me means planting
my seeds indoors for my eventual garden, I am also finding an excitement among
many members of our society. Not only are the days getting longer, but so is our
membership list. In the past few months we have increased in size by more than
20 percent.
Our events are being well attended. The Silber concert was packed, the Salons are
buzzing with new players and the Menkevich workshop had a great turnout (we will
have more details on that in the next newsletter). It is nice to see more of you
active.
We will be sending out a survey to all members soon. This survey
should give us more insight into our membership and help us meet your needs.
Please take a moment to fill it out and return it to us. Many of the answers
will give us necessary information to procure grants for the Society, and some
of them should help us decide how to better channel our advertising
money.
The directory has been compiled and will be in your hands by early
April. I hope you will look up those members who live near you and will get
together or car pool to concerts. Don't forget the next great concerts. I'll
see you there.
We are having several concerts
in succession this winter and
spring. I urge you to come to
these. Please dont let a little cold
weather keep you from seeing
these wonderful performers.
