Addition To Concert Season

We are excited to announce the addition of Jorge Morel to our concert series this spring.

Argentinean guitarist Jorge Morel has excited audiences worldwide with his unique style and brilliant technique. His performances are enthusiastically received in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Cuba, Puerto Rico, England, Finland, France, Holland, Ireland, Norway, Poland, Scotland, Spain, Sweden, United States and Japan. In 1961, Jorge Morel made his debut at Carnegie Hall in New York City where he has since resided. This led to a career highlighted by numerous appearances at world renown halls, such as Lincoln Center and town hall in New York, Queen Elizabeth Hall and Wigmore Hall in London, Dublin’s National Hall and Suntory Hall in Japan. Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Jorge’s musical career started at the age of seven. He began formal studies at the age of 14 when he entered The Academy of Professor Pablo Escobar. His style reflects the influences that most shaped his artistic identity, classical and South American music, and a 30’s style of jazz best represented by Gershwin.

His performance will I’m sure include many of his wonderful original compositions.

The Jorge Morel concert is being co-sponsored by our friends at
