series this spring.
Argentinean guitarist
Jorge Morel
has excited audiences
worldwide with his unique
style and brilliant technique.
His performances are enthusiastically
received in
Argentina, Brazil, Colombia,
Ecuador, Cuba, Puerto Rico,
England, Finland, France,
Holland, Ireland, Norway,
Poland, Scotland, Spain, Sweden,
United States and Japan.
In 1961, Jorge Morel made his debut
at Carnegie Hall in New York City
where he has since resided. This led
to a career highlighted by numerous
appearances at world renown halls,
such as Lincoln Center and town hall
in New York, Queen Elizabeth Hall
and Wigmore Hall in London,
Dublins National
Hall and Suntory
Hall in Japan. Born in
Buenos Aires, Argentina,
Jorges musical
career started at the
age of seven. He
began formal studies
at the age of 14 when
he entered The Academy
of Professor
Pablo Escobar. His
style reflects the influences that most
shaped his artistic identity, classical
and South American music, and a
30s style of jazz best represented
by Gershwin.
His performance will Im sure
include many of his wonderful
original compositions.
