The
Philadelphia Classical Guitar Society is proud to announce the 2011
PCGS Student Guitar Competition. Open for students
studying or
maintaining a permanent residence in PA, NJ and DE the
competition features prizes
including the $1000 Peter Segal Prize and an invitation to perform for
PCGS at the 2012 guitar festival for the first place winner of the
collegiate division.
The competition, with
separate high school and collegiate divisions,
will be held in three rounds with the same repertoire performed in each
round:
1. A preliminary round with a tape or CD
submission, application and
entry fee ($40-
College, $25- High School) due by March 1, 2011.
2. A live semifinal round at 1:00 PM on Saturday,
April 9, 2011
at
First Unitarian Church
